With her old-school glamour, bright red hair, and catlike eyes, BBW April Flores (aka Fatty D, Fatty Delicious) has become a rising star of alt-porn. Even the legendary lowbrow artist Coop isn't immune to her siren charms; he told Bizarre magazine that the voluptuous diva is his muse. That was one of many reasons the UK men's magazine put April on their cover soon after, and while she stood out against all the stick-thin girls on all the other magazine covers, you can be sure her larger size never holds her back.
April was born and raised near Los Angeles with an Ecuadorian father who taught her to follow her dreams. She says her family was religious and strict, but very nice. With Portishead the soundtrack to her youth and Corey Haim adorning her bedroom walls, April grew up with Disneyland nearby and dreaming of becoming a wealthy plastic surgeon, but her path took quite a different turn. She left college at age 18 and worked very briefly at a mortgage company before getting a job in a Latino coffeehouse in Hollywood, and that's when she began coming out of her shell.
April had lost 80 pounds in college, but found that being thinner didn't mean she was happier. As she began to regain weight, April started to model for amateur photographer friends. At a gallery opening, she met fetish filmmaker and photographer Carlos Batts, who wanted to do a shoot with a voluptuous Latina and found his match in April. They worked together and fell in love in the process; the couple is now married. Carlos brought April's sex appeal out and helped her discover her inner porn star. Their photo shoots were private at first, but eventually April felt comfortable with the camera and went on to work with other photographers as well, including Dave Naz.
Sometime in 2006, Carlos decided to start filming their photo shoots in progress and her first film, Alter Ego, was born. The video camera captured April going about daily life as well, including dyeing her hair and getting a tattoo. And of course, there's a bit of Japanese rope bondage, among other things. It wasn't until April met the infamous Belladonna shortly afterward that she did a penetration scene on camera for the first time in Belladonna's Evil Pink 2. April found that she loved this new direction and has since worked with Belladonna again, as well as other women and men. Be sure to check out Voluptuous Life, a sex-packed documentary that captures April's new life as an alt-porn star on the rise while giving the finger to female beauty standards that demand the impossible. She began breaking into the mainstream with an appearance on the June/July 2010 cover of SexIs magazine with her friend, FTM transgendered porn star Buck Angel. April is proud to inspire other girls with her unapologetically sensual, sexual image as a BBW.
