Born in Jamestown, NC, Rayveness grew up a sizzling southern belle, giving off a subtle aura of steamy sexuality all the way back from her high school days. She was married before graduation and shortly thereafter moved to Orlando, FL with her new husband. After working in a fast food restaurant and then as a flower girl, Rayveness entered the world of adult entertainment slowly when she began waitressing at a local strip club.
Unlike many porn stars, Rayveness did not make her way into performing as a dancer. Her debut in the porn industry came when she and her husband saw an episode of The Sally-Jesse Raphael Show about amateur porn and decided to send in one of their own. Although the couple appeared together onscreen (he used the name Red Bone), her husband turned out not to be supportive of her new calling, however, and that was one of the breaking points that led to their eventual divorce.
Since 1990 she has completed over 380 films, starring in scenes with men and women alike. She has been in and out of the industry, but as of spring 2012 she's back!
In 1995, Rayveness became the first official spokesmodel for one of the largest adult toy manufacturers in the industry, Topco Sales. Today she has a line of over 42 sex toys, everything from dildos and vibrators to molds of her own body parts. She has had some mainstream success with speaking roles in NYPD Blue and Path to War.
With her milky white complexion, shapely figure, and luscious 34D breasts, Rayveness has created quite a string of lusty followers and admirers of her work and contribution to the world of adult entertainment. In recent years she's been nominated for several awards, including XRCO's Unsung Siren and AVN's MILF/Cougar Performer of the Year. She was inducted into the XRCO Hall of Fame in 2011.
